Based North West



Our client is a market-leading provider of biomaterials plastics solutions to medical device manufacturers. The current rapid pace of business growth and technology development, allied with the diversification of application areas for its materials provides an opportunity for the business to prioritise, focus and deliver on important growing new application areas by linking technical depth and commercial opportunities through dedicated application leadership.



The Role:



Key to the company’s success has been the ability to understand and engage with the needs of medical device companies in treating patients. Their experiences in orthopaedic markets and active implantable markets have shown the benefit of combining both technical and commercial depth. This has created credibility as a solutions provider in the eyes of the customer, engage more purposefully with the surgeon community, differentiate from competition and grow and convert selected, major applications development programs into commercial sales.



This role will provide detailed market and application understanding of clinical unmet needs in the dental application area helping define the biomaterial needs, data package and solutions.



The Person:



Degree in engineering, biomaterials, bioengineering or an equivalent technical field. Advanced degree: M.Sc., MBA or Ph.D. is preferable but not essential

Commercial experience within a customer facing role is required as is experience of assessing and penetrating technically complex markets

Experience of medical devices for dental applications is required
